THE FDH LOUNGE (Tuesdays, 7-10 PM EST on SportsTalkNetwork.com) celebrates another milestone two weeks after the fourth anniversary episode with the first episode to be archived in video as well as audio!
Fittingly, we start off in a huge way even before The Opening Statements of The FDH Lounge Dignitaries and This Week in The FDH Lounge as Liz Claman of Fox Business Network joins Kenny Albert and Bob Barker in our “Big-Time, Three-Time Club” as she returns after previous appearances on Episodes #63 and 84. She just got back from the huge annual World Economic Forum Davos, Switzerland and has written about the institution of quotas for female participants that was brought into effect this year. She is one of our most interesting guests, with a background that ranges from hard news to magazine-style reporting to business reporting and we look forward to another great appearance from her.
Next, we turn our attention to the ongoing chaos in Egypt and the downside of Middle East “democracy.” And then our FDH college sports specialist and original FDH Lounge Dignitary Nate Noy joins us for a “college hoops conference play midway” update with a collection of useful tips as we begin to approach bracket season.
Midway through Hour Two, we welcome back a great guest who was previously on for Episode #62, best-selling Wall Street author William Cohan. He was on last time to discuss his huge book House of Cards: A Tale of Hubris and Wretched Excess on Wall Street, which detailed the shocking fall of Bear Stearns in 2008 and how it fit into the sudden crash of financial markets. He has a new book coming out this spring on the role of Goldman Sachs in world markets and has written recently for Vanity Fair about the Facebook-like controversy about the origins of the Huffington Post. Obviously, in these times of cluttered financial and economic news, we have much to discuss with him. Then, our pal Lloyd Caroll from Queens Chronicle and Good Times Magazine comes on to help us break down Super Bowl 45 from all angles. We wrap up as always with THE FANTASY DRAFTHELP.COM INSIDER and two major angles to tackle: our controversial Why Tulow is Two column about the top of the first round in fantasy baseball this year and a preview of next week’s NASCAR fantasy mock draft with a breakdown of interesting and relevant facts.
As always, we urge you to watch the show live (or listen if you’re on dial-up), but if you can’t catch this as it’s happening, you can always catch the FDH archives 24-7 right here or catch us on iTunes. Also, you can sample THE FDH LOUNGE VAULT, a compilation of our best interviews and roundtables, now every weeknight from 6-7 PM, also on SportsTalkNetwork.com.
