When we launched THE FDH LOUNGE program 4 ½ years ago, the “nothing is off-topic” theme was so wild and experimental that we had no way of knowing how realistic our big dreams were. Part of the greatness of this journey has been having those dreams validated by people we respect at every turn.
Along those lines, and thanks to the tireless efforts of our FDH Lounge Dignitaries like The FDH New York Bureau Steve Cirvello and Lloyd Carroll, we’ve gained the attention of some people we wouldn’t have dared to hope for not too long ago. As such, we’ve got some talks coming in the upcoming weeks about the best means of future distribution for the program now that we have established 152 episodes and almost 500 hours worth of material.
As that is proceeding, the only way to be respectful and non-disruptive of the needs of others is to take matters into our own hands in terms of distribution. I appreciate those who have been involved in our programming in that way to this point and I am likewise appreciative of the regard they have expressed for our hard work and quality that we delivered.
You’ve seen samples from our FDH Lounge Ultimate Anthology, which totals over 200 segments, right here on the blog via YouTube. Given the value in repurposing our best conversations, that will continue and new content will be coming via two methods:
^ Live broadcasts through our good friend Russ Cohen of Sportsology
^ Podcasts that we record – the first of which is coming in about a week as we bring you another of our Those Damn Hipsters with Kyle Ross segments
Both methods will involve embedding audio here on the blog, much as we have been doing with the content on our FDH Lounge YouTube channel.
On a personal note, I’ve said before that putting this crew of Dignitaries together is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me professionally and one of the best personally as well. The faith that everyone has shown in me to lead us in the right manner is something I take very seriously and I want to let everyone in the group know that I am feeding off of their excitement greatly right now. And they have every right to be proud of the record they all helped me to build.
