On The FDH
Lounge, the show where nothing is off-topic, we
have been privileged to have dozens and dozens of great guests on the
program through our 7 ½ years of history.
One of the very best guests was rock legend Jimi Jamison. Unfortunately, at the end of August, he was
taken from us before his time.
As a means of
paying proper tribute to him, we have rounded up his three appearances on the
program, including the one taped just last month as part of a group interview with
a reunited Survivor lineup while he was passing through Cleveland.
Additionally,
two tributes from the time since his passing are included as well: one with
best friend and fellow rock legend Bobby Kimball and one with his daughter,
fellow musician Amy Jamison. Both of
them shed additional light on his personal and professional life, as well as
the earliest seeds of what will be ongoing efforts to nurture his legacy.
It’s always
painful to suffer the loss of a man such as Jimi Jamison, especially when
nobody has any time to prepare for it.
One of the best ways to cope is always to remember the good times and
what the person brought to others. In
his own words and in the words of those who love him, over the course of about
an hour-and-a-half collectively, we are proud to help in spotlighting the Jimi
Jamison that people knew and loved.
