It will be another outstanding FDH Wednesday night when THE FANTASYDRAFTHELP.COM INSIDER (7-9 PM EDT) and THE GOON SQUAD (9-10 PM EDT) burst out onto your Internet TV screens on SportsTalkNetwork.com.
On The Insider, per good friend of ours Jake Digman, the right-hand man over at NAAFS, we will be pushing back to next week the unveiling of the latest NAAFS rankings -- which will precede our July 16 NAAFS mock draft, where we will form teams of MMA fighters and more importantly, show you in the general public how you may do the same! But tonight, first, we will examine the latest trends in terms of the players being added the most and dropped the most in fantasy baseball over at CBSSports.com. Later in Hour One, we start breaking down position rankings in football: tonight, we examine the different tiers of value at QB. In Hour Two, our NBA Draft recap ensues, complete with a look at the early free agency period. Additionally, be sure to check out our free Hoops Draftology guide for a look at the players who are coming in to help change the face of the league.
Speaking of free agency, that's where we start THE GOON SQUAD, as we break down the signing frenzy that took place as it does every year on July 1. Scott Burnside at ESPN.com has an excellent list of winners and losers from Day I -- albeit, it only includes teams that signed away free agents from other teams, not the teams that signed their own free agents. We will hit everything of note in the transactions tonight. Also: the Columbus Blue Jackets and Los Angeles Kings are about to lose up to $2.5 million in revenue-sharing money from the league due to the inability to hit certain league-mandated targets for team progress. Shockingly, after the bloodbath of the last CBA, the steadily-rising salary cap and corresponding salary floor indicates that the NHL is moving back to a "haves" and "have-nots" world. Can the league really sustain 30 teams if the weaker sisters just can't compete even with unprecedented cost containment? To close the show, we'll go through the NHL Awards Show and let you know where we agreed and disagreed with the prizes that were awarded.
Join us tonight on STN for yet another wild ride all across the sports landscape!
