Chris Jericho vs. the Piper/Snuka/Steamboat trio is up next. Piper spit in in Jericho's face and then charged him at the outset. How about this: one full hour into WrestleMania before we see our first even quasi-standard match?
Piper actually hit a dropkick, shockingly enough. Snuka then hit a few chops before Steamboat hit his patented deep armdrags. Once Snuka tagged back in, Jericho was able to get on offense and put him in the Walls of Jericho for the tapout. Other wrestlers then charged in and Piper ended up in the ring and taking over on offense for a bit. The enzuguri put him down for the count.
Steamboat then hit a dive outside the ring and then a chop off the top rope. The best back-and-forth sequence of the match so far then ensued. In an apparent tribute to Steamboat-Savage from Mania 3, there was a nice collection of near-falls before Jericho's Codebreaker ended it for good.
After Flair ran in and attacked Jericho, he got in some offense before the Codebreaker put him down as well. At that point, Y2J got on the mic and called out Mickey Rourke in the front row. When Jericho escalated the taunts, Rourke approached the ring. Rourke milked the moment before stepping through the ropes. He then got into a boxing stance and charged him that way. After a brief back-and-forth, Rourke dropped him with a big left and Flair came in to celebrate with him as Jericho slinked away.
