By Rick Morris
And there it is -- the lethal Patriot short passing game that has not been in evidence for most of this game has surfaced right when the team needs it most. Brady has been shredding the Giant D, but still doesn't look completely like himself. He's not planting off his foot completely, he's throwing more inaccurate and fluttering passes than usual and he's counting on his receivers to recover slight mistakes far more than usual.
On third and goal from the five with 2:45 left in regulation, Brady finds a wide-open Randy Moss on the right side of the end zone. The PAT makes it 14-10 New England.
