FDH Lounge Show #57: May 6, 2009

By Rick Morris

The 57th edition of THE FDH LOUNGE on SportsTalkNetwork.com (Wednesday, 7-10 PM EDT) brings yet another reminder of the fact that we cover more ground than any other entity on the air today.

Even before The Opening Statements of The Dignitaries of The FDH Lounge, we begin by welcoming in an old friend: The Scout Ken Becks, now of 1stDownScouting.com. Who better to break down the NFL Draft?

From there, we’ll also take a look at the second round of the NBA Playoffs and then, in Hour Two, we bring you thoughts on the summer movie season from FDH Entertainment Editor Samantha Jones and FDH Senior Editor Jason Jones. It’s a new segment from two Charter Dignitaries: “Jonesin’ for the Movies!” They always succeed in separating the undue hype from reality and this report will do nothing less. Then, we will be happy to have one of our original Dignitaries join us, Tim Foust. Tim has been a longtime baseball analyst for FDH, so he’ll help us take an overview of the first month of the MLB season and then he’ll stick around for THE FANTASYDRAFTHELP.COM INSIDER for the first half of Hour Three as we look at the Buy Low, Sell High and Hold Onto candidates for early May in roto baseball. After that, and a look at last week’s Fantasy Triple Crown Draft and the unlikely twists and turns of the Kentucky Derby, we launch into THE GOON SQUAD and a look at the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs that is actually proving to be even better than anticipated. For that, we’ll be joined by our good friend, Dignitary Russ Cohen from Sportsology and Hockeyology.

It’s going to be a great program and we hope you can be a part of our audience. As always, we urge you to watch the show live (or listen if you’re on dial-up), but if you can’t catch this as it’s happening, you can always catch the FDH archives 24-7 right here or catch us now on iTunes!
