We just sat through a massively underwhelming World Title match between CM Punk and JBL. Bradshaw was on offense for about 85% of the match, with "clubbering blows" to the back (TM Dusty Rhodes) and various other primitive forms of offense. Toward the end, Punk ducked the Clothesline from H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks and hit Go To Sleep for what looked to be an entirely flukish win, the protestations from the announcers notwithstanding. What cruddy booking again, presenting your world champion as a "plucky little underdog circa '06 Misterio." JBL came out of this looking strong, Punk not so much. Gotta keep your "locker room leader" looking strong, I guess. Too bad the credibility of the top Raw champion doesn't mean as much.
